About the Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in supporting the Quantity Surveying team, specifically focusing on groundworks projects. You will work closely with senior surveyors to ensure accurate cost management, procurement, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders and contracts.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide regular financial updates.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and variations.
- Assist in the negotiation of subcontractor agreements and procurement activities.
- Contribute to the resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Previous experience or knowledge of groundworks within the construction industry.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as Excel and construction estimating software.
