The ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical installations, particularly in substation environments, and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations and maintenance at National Grid sub-stations, focusing on containment and installing SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) cables.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics to execute work accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and maintain project quality.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical installations to ensure functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Valid EUSR Persons training certification.
- Proven experience working in substation environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, containment, and SWA cable installation.
- Gold ECS Card - NVQ Level 3
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations within electrical work.
