We are seeking experienced Level B Strapping Operatives to join our team in Gillingham, Dorset.
This position involves weekend work with both day and night shifts available.
The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in a similar role and possess the necessary qualifications and certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform strapping and securing of rail assets, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct testing and inspections on strapping equipment and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe operations on site.
- Follow strict safety protocols and report any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment used.
- Extensive experience in a strapping operative role or similar position.
- Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.
- Hold Level B (LB 3rd-R St-i) Strapping qualification, including testing.
- Must have a primary sponsor or hold a valid Drug and Alcohol (D&A) test completed within the last 3 months.
- Strong understanding of rail safety standards and strapping procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
