Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of a project. You will manage everything from planning and execution to monitoring, controlling, and project closure, ensuring projects meet the defined objectives and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring adequate resourcing and smooth execution of high-value, fast-paced projects.
- Programme Management: Take ownership of the project programme, ensuring proper administration and approval of contract programmes (Cl31, Cl32, CE programmes & Cl14), with clear communication to the team.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safety systems and quality management protocols, including ITPs, NCRs, and document control procedures.
- Cost Management: Oversee cost controls, track changes, and manage recovery of additional value when required.
- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management, including monthly progress reports and project reviews.
- Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify and actively manage project risks and opportunities throughout the delivery phase.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach multi-disciplinary teams to build capability and foster a collaborative working environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Experience: Significant experience managing large, multi-disciplined projects in construction, including temporary works.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Cost & Programme Focus: Excellent understanding of cost control, resource planning, and project delivery, with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and clients.
- Construction Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction techniques and productivities, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: HNC, HND, Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Certifications: CSCS and CITB 5-day Safety Supervisor.
